Model making and scale reproduction
Trias Chem offers useful products for model making and scale reproduction.
Epoxy and polyurethane resins are ideal for particular castings, where a faithful reproduction of details is required. The low viscosity systems are ideal for reproducing model cars, airplanes, toy soldiers etc.
The product UP 369/IPU 869 is also especially formulated for use in silicone rubber molds because besides being very faithful in reproduction, it helps to preserve the life of the molds.
The product range is completed by the “range” of addition and condensation casting silicone rubbers to create flexible, open or bivalve molds, for the serial reproduction of parts in polyurethane resin, polyester, plaster, wax and moldable rubbers to obtain fast molds and vertical prints. The range is available in the entire hardness scale.
The main products for the applications described above are:
Two-component polyurethane system with fast curing.
Pure two-component polyurethane system. Low viscosity. It is possible to mix inert materials up to 300% in order to create negatives or fast models. Odourless, high dimensional stability.
Pure two-component polyurethane system for mass casting. To be used for foundry patterns, moulds, mould forms, prototypes, handworks, forging die for vacuum forming.
Spray silicon release agent. It’s particularly suitable for demoulding of polyurethane fast cast resins.
Spray wax release agent. It creates a “dry” film compatible with the use of gel-coat.
Wax liquid release agent. Suitable for most surfaces. Once applied, it leaves the surface matt and dry. Brush application.
PVA (Polyvinyl Alcohol) release agent. DP 122 forms a thin film. Suitable for PU moulds.
