- Molds for Polyurethane
The sector of polyurethane molds has always been the historical application of the company. As regards the products for molds for flexible PU and imitation wood, Trias Chem includes gelcoats and resins both for layering and filled mixtures, to make molds at any level of productivity required.
Trias Chem has in its range paste products for large molds, heat- resistant resins for molds that must withstand high temperatures, specific equipment and cycles for each type of mold.
Just as with molds for flexible polyurethane and faux wood, the experience gained in molds for integral and structural applications is of great significance. Long-standing customers in this type of application have access to customized application cycles based on their needs, as well as cutting-edge products with superior mechanical properties and thermal resistance. Gel coats represent the best that the market can offer in terms of application and reproducibility.
The main products for the applications described above are:
System for filling. Formulated for moulds both for flexible and rigid PU. Good resistance of the filled dough to water.
Foam moulds, integral PU and RIM. Moulds for castings to realize sinks and shower trays. Post-curing required. High chemical resistance.
Epoxy system for patterns for polyurethane. It can be filled with quartz grains or slate to reduce the shrinkage and thermal deformation.
Epoxy system for moulds. It can be filled with quartz grains or slate to reduce the shrinkage and thermal deformation. Different viscosities.
Epoxy system thermoresistant for impregnation of glass, carbon or kevlar fabric at atmospheric pressure or under vacuum or with vacuum bag. Post curing is highly recommended to obtain maximum thermal resistance. Excellent mechanical and thermal properties.
Spray silicon release agent. It’s particularly suitable for demoulding of polyurethane fast cast resins.
Spray wax release agent. It creates a “dry” film compatible with the use of gel-coat.
Wax liquid release agent. Suitable for most surfaces. Once applied, it leaves the surface matt and dry. Brush application.
Semi-permanent release coating recommended for heat-moulding or as based coat for porous materials.
Semi-permanent release agent for metal and resin molds. Ensures a non-contaminating, high-gloss finish on molded components.
Blend of solvents designed to remove dirt and grease from a mould.
