- Models and negatives
The creation of models and negatives requires products characterized by high reproduction fidelity, precision and low shrinkage as well as, in the case of foundry models, high abrasion resistance.
Trias Chem was born in this sector and therefore has developed over the years formulations capable of satisfying every needs.
Our extensive line of in-house epoxy and polyurethane rapid resins is ideally suited for the foundry pattern industry, delivering exceptional wear resistance, dimensional stability, and precision.
The main products for the applications described above are:
Low viscosity epoxy filled system, for models and moulds. It can be furtherly filled with slate or aluminium. Foundry models, moulds, gaskets, supplied in set, is adapt to industrial floors repairing.
Medium viscosity system, filled by non-abrasive extenders. Foundry moulds, core boxes, forging dies, adding tools.
Epoxy system, abrasion resistant. With IPE 705, it is possible to cast on an Aluminium core for moulds realization. Low thermal expansion. With IPE 775 it has very good thermal properties.
Fiber paste for models. Easy mixing and manual application. Medium models or moulds.
Rollable fiber paste for models. The mechanical mixing, using MI 1 mixing machine must be preferred. Foundry patterns, structural reinforcement of big dimension maquettes.
Pure two-component polyurethane system. Low viscosity. It is possible to mix inert materials up to 300% in order to create negatives or fast models. Odourless, high dimensional stability.
Epoxy system thermoresistant for impregnation of glass, carbon or kevlar fabric at atmospheric pressure or under vacuum or with vacuum bag.
Post curing is highly recommended to obtain maximum thermal resistance.
Excellent mechanical and thermal properties.
Spray silicon release agent. It’s particularly suitable for demoulding of polyurethane fast cast resins.
Spray wax release agent. It creates a “dry” film compatible with the use of gel-coat.
Wax liquid release agent. Suitable for most surfaces. Once applied, it leaves the surface matt and dry. Brush application.
Semi-permanent release coating recommended for heat-moulding or as based coat for porous materials.
Semi-permanent release agent for metal and resin molds. Ensures a non-contaminating, high-gloss finish on molded components.
